I’m Lauren, I’m originally from Fishers, Indiana but I’ve lived in Huntersville, North Carolina for the past 5 years. I am a student at University of North Carolina Charlotte studying Management Information Systems with a minor in Spanish. This is my 8th summer at camp (second as a counselor). I love creating a fun and inclusive environment at camp. I love working with the horses and running zip line! When I’m not at camp I like to play the saxophone or bassoon, paint, crochet or hike. I’m so excited to build connections and create life long memories this summer!

If a camper remembers one thing about you, what do you hope it is?: I hope campers remember my bright energy and positivity. So many counselors have made a lasting impact on me, and I hope to have that same positive influence on my campers.
Fun Fact: I secretly love reading the last chapter of a book first so I can see how it ends before I begin.

I’m Ashlyn, I’m from Brownsburg, Indiana, I currently am studying Accounting and Finance at Purdue University (yes, I like numbers, but I love camp even more!). This will be my 12th summer at camp, my mom worked here when she was younger too, so getting to follow in her footsteps makes it even more special. My favorite part of camp is helping everyone feel welcome, brave, and free to just be a kid. I love going on adventures, exploring fun spots around camp, and making each week the best one yet. When I’m not at camp, I enjoy hiking, reading, traveling, and spending time with the people I love. I can’t wait to laugh, explore, and make unforgettable memories this summer!

This is my first summer at camp, but I have previous experience working with kids and truly love helping them learn, grow, and have fun. I enjoy singing, cooking, and doing creative arts and crafts like diamond painting. I’m excited to help create an environment where campers feel supported, included, and encouraged to try new things. If a camper remembers one thing about you, what do you hope it is?: That I'm fun to be around and always down to have a laugh.
What advice would you give a first-time camper?: It will also be my first time at camp so we're in this together! My advice would be to remember that camp is a safe place to be yourself and try new things - you might even discover something you really love. Camp is all about having fun, making new friends and creating memories that could last you a lifetime. It may be scary at first but remember you will have people around you who are there to help you and make sure your summer will be one to remember.
