Flat Rock River YMCA Camp offers multiple programs for the perfect outdoor summer adventure. Engage your camper in an expedition that will take them to some of the most beautiful places in the Midwest. Our adventures inspire our youth to be courageous, confident, and challenge themselves. On these trips our campers will make lifelong friends and memories, while building resilience that will last them a lifetime.

The Red River Gorge and Wisconsin Dells Trips run 6 days Sunday to Friday
White Water Adventure Trips runs 9 days Sunday through the following Monday.

BACKPACKING ADVENTURE​
​
Our Backpacking Adventure Trip is for campers ages 13-16. This trip is based on leadership opportunities while being immersed in all nature has to offer. Our trip is beginner friendly with no outdoor experience required but we do hike each day and carry our packs/tents/meals with us.
During these expeditions’ teens will step out of their comfort zone and discover their potential. This experience begins on-site at Flat Rock River YMCA Camp, where campers participate in specialized camp activities to provide skills needed for the trip. Monday morning the campers head out to Red River Gorge for 3 days of hiking, and sleeping in the backcountry. The Red River Gorge is a unique and scenic natural area within the Daniel Boone National Forest in eastern Kentucky. Over the course of three days, they will camp, hike, and rock climb the peaks that have the most breathtaking views. Our Backpacking Adventure Trips are designed to bring together young high school students from all different walks of life to grow and learn together in a fun and challenging way. The Backpacking Adventure Trip is a great way to attend camp with some extra adventure and challenges!

WISCONSIN DELLS ADVENTURE TRIP
​
Our Wisconsin Dells Adventure Trip is for campers ages 13-16. This trip is also based on leadership opportunities but with a healthy dose of day explorations from a base site campground. A definite beginner friendly trip with no outdoor experience required. This is not a backpacking trip.
This experience begins on-site at Flat Rock River YMCA Camp, where campers participate in specialized camp activities to provide skills needed for the trip. Monday morning the campers head out Devils Lake campground near the Wisconsin Dells. Over the course of three days, they will camp and hike from our permanent base camp and take in some of most breathtaking views of the Dells. We’ll also jump on board some local watercraft for boat tours along the Wisconsin River sandstone formations before wrapping the week at one of the Wisconsin Dells water/theme parks. Trips are designed to bring together young high school students from all different walks of life to grow and learn together in a fun and challenging way. WHITEWATER RAFTING ADVENTURE TRIP
​
Prepare to get REALLY wet on this adventure. This Adventure Trip is for campers ages 13 -16. Throughout the week the campers get to explore some of the oldest and most famous rafting spots in the Midwest, and get to practice their skills as a team tackling those whitewater rapids.
This is an extended trip that runs for 9 days (Sun-Mon)
Campers will spend Sunday afternoon and Monday at Flat Rock working on their team building, camping and basic water skills. Then early Tuesday head out for a week camping, exploring and rafting rivers in North Carolina and Tennessee: French Broad, Pigeon, Chattooga and finally the Ocoee River, for some extreme rafting to end the trip. Trips are designed to bring together young high school students from all different walks of life to grow and learn together in a fun and challenging way.
