JUNE 20-25

Our Backpacking Adventure Trip is for ages 13-17. This trip is based on leadership opportunities while being immersed in all nature has to offer. Our courses are beginner friendly with no outdoor experience required.

During these expeditions teens will step out of their comfort zone and discover their potential.  This experience begins on-site at Flat Rock River YMCA Camp, where campers participate in specialized camp activities to provide skills needed for the trip.  Tuesday morning the campers head out to Red River Gorge for 3 days of hiking, and sleeping the backcountry. The Red River Gorge is a unique and scenic natural area within the Daniel Boone National Forest in eastern Kentucky. Over the course of three days, they will camp, hike, and rock climb the peaks that have the most breathtaking views. Our Backpacking Adventure Trips are designed to bring together young high school students from all different walks of life to grow and learn together in a fun and challenging way.  Campers return to Flat Rock at the end of the week to attend the Camp Dance and participating in Closing Campfire. The Backpacking Adventure Trip is a great way to attend camp with some extra adventure and challenges! To register, click here.
